Patient: I have been having some moderate headache pain. Can I take Tylenol for these headaches? I have some of the 500 mg tablets I bought from Walmart last week. How many can I take? Nurse: Yes, you can take Tylenol for your headaches. You can take 1-2 tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed for your headache pain. Please remember not to take more than 4000 mg in a 24 hour period of time. That means no more than 8 tablets per day of the 500 mg tablets. Ok?
