Transcript Transcript is the permanent record of all the courses you have taken and the grades you received in each semester of each course. GPA and class rank are included on the transcript. GPA is calculated by assigning grade points to a letter grade: ACA: A=4 Pre AP: A=5 B=3 +1 B=4 C=2 +1 C=3 D=1 +1 D=2 F=0 F=0
PROMOTION to 8th GRADE To be promoted to 8th grade: You must have an overall average of 70 or higher in all courses. You must also have an overall average of 70 or higher in 3 of the 4 core subject areas: English and Reading Math Science Social Studies Students who do not meet these requirements must either attend summer school or repeat the 7th grade.
HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT COURSES If you take a high school credit course in 8th grade, you MUST NOT request the same course in high school. You CANNOT repeat a course for which you have already earned credit. No credit is awarded for a duplicated course.

Choose 3 alternate electives – or an alternate will be chosen for you! Keep your course selection sheet neat and clean. Take good care of it! (use a pencil) Be responsible! Be organized! Be prepared for 8th grade – academically and behaviorally!
