Stand elements 4 Element 1 – The counterfeit problem. A range of real and counterfeit goods will be displayed side-by-side. Mannequins will display sportswear, cards on the desk will contain examples of ID cards, tax stamps etc. (samples provided by OpSec, a hologram manufacturer). Element 2 – Atomic uniqueness. An atomic force microscope will be presented, which is a state of the art tool for measuring surface features with atom scale resolution – it will be used to demonstrate that everything is unique at the atom scale. Element 3 – The quantum identity. Operate one of our devices producing identities from an electronic device. This could be embedded into sim cards, or used with RFID tags. Element 4 – The optical tag. Holograms augmented with quantum tags can be read with a smartphone app – illustrating how the technology could deployed en mass. Element 5 – The quantum challenge. Take our molecule building challenge to understand how long it will take to engineer clone an object with atomic precision. 5 3 2 1
