Student Success/Feedback Delta College assessment: Some Student Perceptions Meet Prerequisites or have needed skills for class Math 80% said met prerequisites Ethics 100% said had needed skills Level of difficulty of course appropriate? Math 100% Ethics 86%

Student Success/Feedback Course Met Expectations Math - some thought too easy most thought it was a good course Ethics – 10 said yes, 2 said no, 8 didn’t know what to expect Would you benefit more from the class if older or more experienced? Not asked in math class Ethics class 8 said yes, 14 said no *The 4 “traditional” students said they thought the younger students would benefit from having the course even at their young age

Observations Instructors Observations from Math Instructor Students were: Prepared for the mathematics Overall hard workers Treated as college students (good/bad) Somewhat immature Students reported Liking the course Finding the course valuable

Observations from Instructors Observations from the Ethics Instructor: Traditional Student wanted to change sections, did not and found it worthwhile CoOp positions helped immensely Observations from the Medical Term Instructor: Not ready or understanding online course Blend course and online test security a concern Observations from the Nursing Instructor: Students thinking they had “reached competency” in a number of skills (Some students not sure of value of course)
