Remember: choose your role! Your role will always be “Student” when logging in. Your field instructor, for example, will choose “Agency” at log in instead. Your username is your full Bryn Mawr email address: for example, if I were logging in, my username would be: smsinclair@brynmawr.edu. Your password is one you create. Please find your way to remember it! If you forget your password, it must be reset by the Field office, so you should either: send an email to field@brynmawr.edu, call 610-520-2601, or 610-520-2605 so I can send you an email link to choose a new password.
navigation This is the home navigation bar. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll arrive at the Home page (highlighted in green above). Click on any of the tabs to navigate to different sections. The most important sections you’ll use this year are Forms, School Documents, and Documents. Forms, where your PPQ is located, will have every fillable form and assignment you need to access this semester. Please check this section frequently! School Documents is your resources page – you’ll find calendars, guidelines, and other useful materials here. Documents is for anything you upload, including your Resume.

What to do first My Details is the section that allows you to fill out your emergency contact information. THEN: If you need to change your address, phone number, or any other critical information, there is a change of contact form located on the Forms tab. Choose the “Change of Contact Information – Student” Form from the drop-down menu, and click Add. The form will appear at the top of your Form list, and you can click the red Edit button to the right to input your information. Remember to click submit when you’re finished!
First Assignment: Pre-Placement Questionnaire This form is your first Sonia assignment. It is due before your Field Education Interview. To complete, fill out the information required by clicking the red edit button.
Completing the ppq 1) Make sure to complete all fields marked with the pencil icon with a red asterisk: this indicates this field is MANDATORY. You will receive an error message if you are missing any mandatory fields, and will be unable to submit. 2) When you’ve finished the PPQ, click the Submit button. If you have successfully filled in all mandatory fields, your screen will load for a moment and then you will see a “successfully actioned” message underneath the submit button. This indicates your form successfully submitted in Sonia, and is now available to the Field Education Office.
Second assignment: upload your resume Next: Once you’ve finished your PPQ, upload your resume. Note: this is also due before your Field Education Interview!
Searching agencies in sonia Navigate to the “Agencies” page in Sonia to search our database of potential field placements.
How to search: filtering Filtering is available in the blue left sidebar labeled "Filters". Click the blue sidebar to open (and click again to close. **Please remember to hit "Filter" at the bottom in order to update your field placement listings.
More on filtering/searching You can search by full/partial name, city, Zip, State, Practice Skill Area, Agency Type, Population. NOTE: The following fields are not searchable: “Sector”, “Location”, or “Location Group." You can search on all the remaining fields in this “Filter” box. Under “Additional Information” you can search by key word in the “Description” box. All search terms will carry over to your next search, so be sure to remove any unwanted terms for your subsequent searches. PLEASE NOTE: Some agencies are lacking the “attributes” that would populate a filtered search. We are working to ensure that all agencies have at least one attribute (or key word) so that it will be included in a filtered search. If you are having trouble finding a specific agency, check the spelling of the name of the agency, or broaden your filtering. To see more information about each agency, click on the gray arrow box to the left of the agency names to expand the menu. You can expand an agency to view details about the placement: to do so, click the right-pointing arrow to the left of an agency name.
School documents The School Documents page is your resources page in Sonia. Uploads from the Field Education Office will always be available here.
