Persuasive Speech Writing Learning Objective: To consider the effects of rhetorical devices and other ingredients of a persuasive speech. Persuasive Speech Writing You will learn how speech writers use a variety of rhetorical devices to persuade their audiences to agree or sympathise with their point of view. Rhetoric helps you to manipulate other people. You will also learn how to structure a speech of your own and use language in an effective, persuasive way. This will culminate in an assessed piece of work: Write and present a persuasive speech to the class on a topic of your choosing.

Set your own Learning Target Learning Objective: To consider the effects of rhetorical devices and other ingredients of a persuasive speech.
