Romeo and Juliet Act II, scene iv Summary

Mercutio and Benvolio discuss a letter that Tybalt has sent to Romeo Mercutio and Benvolio discuss a letter that Tybalt has sent to Romeo. They suspect that Tybalt has challenged Romeo to a duel.

Mercutio and Benvolio quickly run into Romeo on the street Mercutio and Benvolio quickly run into Romeo on the street. They exchange puns and jokes, and Mercutio and Benvolio still think Romeo is in love with Rosaline.

Juliet’s Nurse and a servant named Peter find Romeo out on the street. Romeo tells Nurse to tell Juliet to come to confession at Friar Lawrence’s cell. Friar Lawrence will marry them there. The Nurse leaves to deliver the message to Juliet.
