Introduction to PHOENIX Rotary Ring Technology

Introduction to PRRA PRRA-2100

Introduction to PRRA PRRA-4000

Intro to Ring Technology THE RING WRAPPER DESIGN THE WRAPPING RING CONCEPT THE TRAVELING FILM CLAMP /CUT /SEAL

Intro to Ring Technology Designed for 3 shift 7 day high thru-put applications Outperforms conventional wrappers in all aspects of performance -speed - maintenance - film economy safety - flexibility This technology all but replaced arm and table automatics in Europe years ago. Patents prevented that in the US….until now!

Intro to Ring Technology Unlike Arm or Turntable machines: Performance aspects are not negatively linked - increasing speed is not done at the cost of increased film (30) and maintenance costs.

Intro to Ring Technology Revolutionary design based on the film carriage rotating around a stationary load using a rotating ring. The wrapping ring is essentially a 96 dia. bearing created with one 96 dia. steel race orbiting around a second steel race using specially formulated guide wheels.

Intro to Ring Technology l The result of this much faster Low Mass Film Rotation System is the ability to maintain consistent, long term and safer high speed production rates without stress or strain simply because the PRRA does not have to work as hard as conventional wrappers.

Intro to Ring Technology TRAVELING FILM CLAMP /CUT /SEAL The PRRA has the distinct advantage of the film clamp traveling vertically with the film carriage, which allows the PRRA to start and finish at any point on the load. Unlike Arm and table system that require you to apply wasted film while getting to the top of the load because the clamp is fixed to the conveyor, the PRRA clamp moves with the film so no wasted film is applied.

Intro to Ring Technology TRAVELING FILM CLAMP /CUT /SEAL As you do not have to return to the fixed clamp position at conveyor height as in conventional wrappers valuable time and film is saved. By reducing the number of revolutions required to wrap a given load, the PRRA also increases the number of loads wrapped between scheduled maintenance.

Intro to Ring Technology TRAVELING FILM CLAMP /CUT /SEAL In summary the traveling film clamp reduces: Wrapping time Stretch film costs Maintenance time

PRRA Features & Benefits

PRRA Features & Benefits SPEED FLEXIBILITY FILM SAVINGS ( R.O.I. ) MAINTENANCE

PRRA Features & Benefits SPEED Up to 40 RPM and 120+ pallets an hour without breaking a sweat Conventional Arm or turntable technology simply cant keep up.

PRRA Features & Benefits SPEED Ring technology does not apply 2 wasted revolutions of film at the beginning of a cycle thus it provides higher throughput than competitive rotary arm or turntable machines.

PRRA Features & Benefits FLEXIBILITY No other wrapper provides the wrapping flexibility as the PRRA.

PRRA Features & Benefits FLEXIBILITY TOP BANDING : Ability to apply film to only the top layers of the load (click to view)

PRRA Features & Benefits FLEXIBILITY SPLIT WRAP : Allows two stacked loads to enter the PRRA to get wrapped and sealed individually thus increasing throughput. You could full wrap one and top band the other if desired.

PRRA Features & Benefits FLEXIBILITY Integral Top Sheet Dispenser T.S.D LOCATED ON THE WRAPPING RING ALLOWS FOR TOP SHEET TO BE APPLIED IN THE WRAP ZONE WHICH: ENSURES THE SHEET DOES NOT FALL OFF OR GET MISALIGNED AS WITH INLINE T.S.D DOES NOT TAKE UP THE VALUABLE FLOOR SPACE OF INLINE UNITS WITH LESS MOVING PARTS MAINTENANCE IS DRAMATICALLY REDUCED

PRRA Features & Benefits FLEXIBILITY

Octopus Features & Benefits FLEXIBILITY 90 degree infeed / outfeed or dual infeed / outfeed flow directions, where other wrappers are not capable. IE: Lantech- S=3500 Rotary Arm Orion-- MA X rotary arm Wulftec- WCRT

PRRA Features & Benefits FILM SAVINGS Rotary Ring Technology provides GUARANTEED savings over conventional Rotary arm or turntable wrappers. example : Customer has a 48w x 48l x 52h load Customer wraps lph, 3 shifts, 6 days / week. or 524,160 loads / year

PRRA Features & Benefits FILM SAVINGS Because we are not applying the 2 wasted revolutions to get to the top of the load, we are saving 32 ft of prestretched film (2 revs of 16ft). This equals approx 10 ft of raw film per load

PRRA Features & Benefits FILM SAVINGS 10 ft /load x 524,160 = 1048 rolls of film at $40/roll = $41,920 in film savings each and EVERY YEAR This is due purely to the ring technology compared to old conventional arm or turntable technology. NEED PROOF? Go to the customers existing wrapper and have it cycle until the carriage has wrapped completely to the top. E-stop the cycle and cut the film off that has been applied. That is the amount of film Rotary Ring technology saves each and every load! No smoke and mirrors.. Just savings!

IT PAYS TO BUY PHOENIX !

PRRA Features & Benefits MAINTENANCE Rotary Ring technology was specifically designed for 3 shift / 7 day applications With conventional wrappers, most work (and maintenance) performed is to rotate and support the thousands of pounds of the rotary table or arm used to apply the few ounces of film.

PRRA Features & Benefits MAINTENANCE (cont) The PRRA works effortlessly as it rotates only what is required to rotate....THE FILM ! A.C. frequency drives and motors are used instead of D.C. motors and boards which are high maintenance items.

PRRA Features & Benefits MAINTENANCE (cont) The wrapping ring can be lowered to a comfortable working height, any maintenance on the rotation drive and electrics becomes not only safe but fast. Working on a ladder 15 ft. in the air or underneath a turntable are a thing of the past.

Rotary Ring Summary The PRRA ring technology saves 2 revolutions of film on every load wrapped compared to conventional arm or table technology PRRA ring technology works faster and with less effort than arm or tables resulting in less maintenance and more throughput. Wrapping faster with less issues at a fraction of the cost of other technologies…. With Ring machine prices comparable to rotary arm systems it really isnt a fair fight.
