Community and Stakeholder Engagement Engaged with over 50 community members and local elected leaders in the first 4 weeks. Newark School Board Local Advocates Parents Educators Clergy Philanthropic Partners State Legislators Mayor & City Council

District Operations & School Readiness Much of the past 4 weeks has been spent meeting with NPS staff to learn about the current state of affairs – budget, personnel, facilities, etc. Impressed with the caliber of the team and the leaders that I’ve already met during my Family Support Center and school visits. In the coming weeks our primary focus will be to ensure that we successfully open schools in September – welcoming back our committed staff and exceptional students and families!
