Signing up for Rapid Connect is Easy! How do I get access to Rapid Connect? Signing up for Rapid Connect is Easy! Go to www.RapidConnect.com Click on the ‘Sign Up’ button Enter contact Info and select ‘Application Developer’ Once activated by the Rapid Connect administrator (next slide), your user name and temporary password will be emailed to you The first time you login, you’ll be asked to reset your password and set up Security questions You are ready to go!
Contacts and Engagement Resources during your Rapid Connect Project Integrated Partner Management Team When a user from a new company registers in Rapid Connect, the Rapid Connect Administrator contacts the user to set up the company profile. An Integrated Partner Management resource is assigned to each Rapid Connect project. This resource will be the liaison with First Data for your certification and will review and activate your project once created. Certification Analyst Once your project is activated, a Rapid Connect Certification analyst will be assigned. Your Rapid Connect Certification analyst will be your resource for technical questions about you project, SDK and Sandbox testing For Merchant Developers The name of your RM or IM will be needed prior to activation your Relationship and/or Implementation Manager will assist you with your full implementation.
Creating a Project Make sure to update the title line in the footer. To do this, simply: Click on View Click Side Master Edit the title line in the footer. Note: you will need to make the edit on each slide in the “master”. This should take less than 5 minutes.
Click on the Create New Project Link to begin your certification to First Data through Rapid Connect

Select relevant parameters
Click Submit and the project gets sent for approval
Open projects are then added to the client dashboard
After the project has been moved to Development, you will be able to download your SDK Read the Start Here document to for additional details on the Project Lifecycle and SDK contents. The Certification scripts will be the transactions you will run based on the parameters selected when creating your project. The SDK also contains your customized Rapid Connect spec (“UMF”) and Quick Reference Guides.

Project Lifecycle
Rapid Connect Project Lifecycle Certification Pending Development Review Accepted Complete Initial Phase when you initially create your project Once we have verified that your project is valid, it will be activated. Download SDK Do Development & Testing All transactions are PASS status TOR Testing Auto-Cert window is 72 hours Run all required test script transactions Click on ‘View validation Report’ link to view result If all pass, automatically promoted to review phase If not, you’ll need to make any corrections & run the entire test script again. Work with your RC Cert Analyst on any manual review items such as receipts (as required) Any other specialized verification Your PCI or PA-DSS Validation will be verified Any other outstanding business requirements are met Your project is queued for production In production within 2 hours 1 2 3 4 5 6
Your project is Complete… now what? Merchants can be boarded by the merchant's acquirer to one of First Data’s Rapid Connect supported platforms (Nashville, Cardnet, Buypass). Merchants that have been boarded can start processing 2 hours after your project is moved to Complete. Reporting and settlement is performed by the First Data front-end/back-end platforms so merchants reporting and settlement doesn’t change. (* if using the same FE/BE platform)
