FORTRESS IN KRKA NATIONAL PARK
FORTRESS -the fortress on Krka river are: Rogovo, Bogočin, Nečven, Kamičak,Trošenj -the towers on Čikola river are:Drniš-Gradina i Ključica
BOGOČIN(VILIN GRAD) -its placed on the left bank of Krka river -its built by Croatian noble Nelipić family in 13. or 14. century -In the early 16th century, it was taken over by the Turks and remained in Turkish hands until 1684. -it has irregular form dimension of 30x32m
NEČVEN -The medieval fortress Nečven was built on the very edge of a cliff on the left bank of the Krka River. -its probably built in 13. or 14. cenutry -firs time mentioned 21. september 1376. -Its original masters were the Nelipić family, owners of the entire Promin-Miljevac region. The estate remained under their ownership until 1421, when it came into the hands of the noble Martinušić family.
OTOMAN GOURMENT -In the early 16th century, the Turks conquered Nečven and held it until 1688. -The Turks brought their soldier here, and turned it into the seat of the Krka -After the departure of the Turks, Nečven was torched and half destroyed
TROŠENJ(ČUČEVO) -located on the right bank of the river opposite Nečven -built by the noble family Šubiuć in 15. century to control the strategically important bridge over the river Krka - Tower and the nearby village Čučevo mentioned in a document 1437 years -after breaking the Venetian army in 1684 Spending was abandoned and since then collapse
