About VET-TWIN project VET-TWIN is a 3 year project (2016-2018) which aims at increasing the potential and research capacity of the National Veterinary Research Institute (NVRI, Poland) by cooperation with internationally-leading counterparts from Germany (German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment - BfR) and Denmark (Technical University of Denmark, National Veterinary Institute - DTU Vet). The cooperation between these three institutes covers the following fields of veterinary sciences: animal infectious diseases, zoonoses, food chain safety. The partnership will broaden research scope and enhance their scientific value by adding international dimension, thus allowing NVRI to fully respond to European challenges. The project intends to create a link between NVRI and its counterparts from Germany and Denmark through the exchange of expertise and personnel, enhancement of the science and technological capacity of the linked institutions and the support to raise staff’s research profile as well as the excellence of the institutions involved. The overall scientific and innovation capacity improvement of NVRI will be achieved by: - promoting the mobility of well qualified researchers and young scientists, - exchange of their knowledge and experiences i.e. trainings, workshops, cascade trainings, summer schools, congress for young scientists. Expected outcomes improvement of skills of NVRI’s scientific staff in terms of implementation of research based on the novel methods and technologies increase of research activities of NVRI’s young scientists scientific and technological development international cooperation joint research activities broadening of scientific research scope The expected impact will be verified by: increase in the number of NVRI’s publications in scientific journals increase in the number of national grant applications increase in the number of grant applications submitted for joint collaboration with other partners increase in the number of scientific papers presented at congresses, conferences and symposia increase in the number of international scientific events attended by NVRI researchers increase in the number of citations in scientific journals from Journal Citation Reports Strona 2 i 3 (od lewej licząc)
