The Global Privacy Enforcement Network Why does it matter? The Global Privacy Enforcement Network was established in 2008 The Network engages more than 66 global data protection authorities to cooperate on the practical aspects of privacy law enforcement cooperation Share best practices in addressing cross border challenges Work to develop shared enforcement challenges Work to develop shared enforcement priorities Support joint enforcement initiatives and awareness campaigns

We engage with a number of strategic forums internationally

Established in 1979 (40th Conference, Hong Kong 2017) and comprises of 118 members The ICDPPC is a global platform which facilitates the exchange of policies and ideas for the future development of privacy legislation. ICO is now part of the Executive Committee ICO leads on International Enforcement Cooperation, the Group of Experts on Legal and Practical Solutions for Cooperation Resolutions on major topics of global relevance including the privacy concerns in the development of automated vehicles.
