Bad Weather / No Lift Policy

Bad Weather Policy… Notify the office if you become aware of bad weather conditions which will prevent you from completing a shift at a consumer’s residence. In the event that you cannot complete a shift at the required time, Family Care will delay the shift until later in the day to allow safe traveling.

No Lift Policy… Family Care is a no lift agency. This means that if a consumer needs to be lifted for transferring for care the employee must call the office so they can be re-evaluated. Employees that do not abide by this policy are subject to disciplinary actions.
