Hi! So a quick overview of what I'd love to run through over the next 20 mins:  I'm going to explain what civic crowdfunding is,  give you a feel for the kind of projects that use Spacehive and the impact they create,  explain how we work with partners and walk you through an example  After that, hopefully we can have a chat about how civic crowdfunding could work in your area. HELLO, WE’RE SPACEHIVE 27/06/2017

MORE INNOVATIVE PROJECT IDEAS NEW SOURCES OF FUNDING MORE INNOVATIVE PROJECT IDEAS DISTINCTIVE LOCAL PLACES COLLABORATIVE PLACEMAKING

So here's a quick feel for some of the projects that have been funded using Spacehive. You've got everything from this water slide idea in Bristol to this project to turn an abandoned railway line into a park in Peckham.

SPACEHIVE IS THE UK’s DEDICATED CIVIC FUNDING PLATFORM 304 SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS £6.5m RAISED 52% SUCCESS RATE 3.5X LEVERAGE ON FUNDING

SOCIAL & ECONOMIC IMPACT If you look at what that means for local places - and we've had several excellent reports dig into this -- you see: 2.3m people have used or visited Spacehive projects 4,300 acres of space have been improved 122 enterprises have been started off the back of projects and 494 jobs have been created. 82% of backers say that being involved in projects made them feel more proud of their area. 91% say they feel more empowered to change things locally. And there's much more - we have an incredible mix of metrics which we collect about the impact on local places, the perceptions of backers in the wider community, and the impact on project creators themselves in terms of skills they developed. SOCIAL & ECONOMIC IMPACT 2.3m BENEFICIARIES 4,000 ACRES OF SPACE TRANSFORMED 80% FEEL MORE CIVIC PRIDE 90% FEEL MORE EMPOWERED TO CHANGE THINGS LOCALLY

Here's how the impact report for this project – it tells a really vibrant story of the campaign and the difference it made

Well our aim is to get you to those outcomes I mentioned earlier: a culture where local people feel empowered to change things,  a really vibrant marketplace of new ideas and new funding coming together to improve places  measureable social and economic benefits to the community  and leverage of at least 350% on your resources as a council We get you there over 2 years with a mix of: strategic consultancy powerful software (to give you a branded hub for projects in your area, allow your funding to interact with the crowd, and give you all the data you need in real time to show the impact) community engagement activity  and marketing LEVERAGE RESOURCE MORE ACCESSIBLE
