Peace One of the greatest characteristics of the Messianic rule (Isaiah 2:4; 9:6-7; 11:6-9) Areas of peace that we have in Christ: Peace within (John 14:27) Peace between men (Ephesians 2:14-18) Peace with God (Romans 5:1)

Peace Between Men

This peace is in the Messianic kingdom God is the wall of fire round about His kingdom (Zech. 2:4-5). It is in God’s holy mount that they shall not hurt nor destroy (Isaiah 11:9). This peace is to those who have been reconciled unto God in one body (Eph. 2:15).

Peace between Jew and Gentile Enmity of Jews toward the Gentiles is well documented (Acts 22:21-23). The Gentile was not part of the covenant between Israel and God (Eph. 2:11-12). Christ abolished that which kept the two separated (Eph. 2:13-15). Both approach God on an equal footing (Gal. 3:28).

Peace between one another Be at peace with all men (Heb. 12:14; Rom. 12:18). Be especially at peace with brethren (Mk. 9:50; 1Thess. 5:13): Put away all bitterness (Eph. 4:31-32; Col. 3:8). Cultivate lowliness, meekness (Eph. 4:1-3). Practice the principles (Matt. 7:12; 22:39).

“And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” - Isaiah 2:4 (Let Us Beat Swords into Plowshares, a sculpture by Evgeniy Vuchetich in the United Nations Art Collection)

Be a peacemaker, pursuer of peace (Matt. 5:9; 1 Pet. 3:11).

Peace Among Men… Is to prevail in the Messianic kingdom! Is something that me must strive for! Is a welcome change from the ways of the world when maintained! It is a foretaste of heaven!

Acts 16:13-15 (KJV) And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither. 14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul. 15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us.
