Oral English II Talking about Science Welcome to class!

Discussing the Homework Reading Text and Audio Take a few minutes and discuss the reading and listening you did for homework with your partner. Discuss new vocabulary, unclear sentences, etc. Don’t worry if you didn’t understand 100% of the text right now.

Some Science Vocabulary…

Science Fiction – What will the future be like? In your groups, talk about what the world will look like in the year 2100, especially with regards to science and technology. How will our lives be different? What scientific breakthroughs will change our lives? Your group will give a short presentation at the end of class.

Homework Download and read Text 4 Listen to Audio 3 Write a short (1-2 paragraphs) response to the text and audio for homework, along with new vocabulary words that you learned from the homework.
