How To Make A Good Photo Story

Basics of Photo Story Photo story helps you create exiting stories using pictures. You can add effects such as panning, zooming, and music. For example, you could create a photo story that features narrated photographs from a family vacation Remember making a photo story or any project is supposed to be fun, so be optimistic or your project will reflect your mood

Step 1: Think of your idea Brainstorm with a friend or family member Think of the materials you have, how you can use them and what you cannot do Think of the things you are interested in Ex. If you like cats then do a story on your cat or various cats around the world If you have a project in another class then make a photo story for it Memorials are very popular for a photo story, such as a dedication to a deceased family member or friend or a graduation montage.

Step 2: Plan your story Create a story board Write your story in words Figure out how you will use your pictures and how to caption them Think of the longest or shortest it can be, dont make it too long so it will drag on and the viewers will become uninterested, if it is too short then your story might not be told properly or it will be seen as unimpressive or not very well thought out Work in steps, if you go in steps then it will be easier to move smoothly and quickly

Step 3: Pictures For a PHOTO story you need pictures Make sure your pictures make sense Think of your idea before you start, dont work from the pictures, people can tell if something is well thought out and planned or just thrown together at the last second Have good pictures, use your best ones If you only have one picture that doesnt matter, remember, A picture is worth a thousand words.

Step 4: Creation Create your story Transition between pictures smoothly with nice effects (dont go crazy with effects!, if you add to many it will make it hard to follow and people will just pay attention to the nice effects then the actual story) make sure your captions are easy to understand to everybody dont put some joke that maybe 3 people will get but no one else will. make sure your captions are with the right pictures dont jumble them up.

Now lets see if you paid attention Question #1 Being optimistic is a bad thing, projects are supposed to be boring. True False (instructions: when you want to answer, click either true or false, if you are correct click the correct or incorrect to keep going or try again)
