No Service Tier: One Customer Support Business Hours: Phone, Email SharePoint is provided to members of the former Facilities SharePoint service
Value Proposition Product is similar to SharePoint Online. Differences include: Can provide anonymous access Online requires authentication, including by named guest account Can provide custom website URL E.g. http://reunion.cornell.edu vs https://cornellprod.onmicrosoft.com/sites/reunion More fully customizable Can host integrated applications Add AB participation
History Facilities developed SharePoint service and hosted some other departments CIT took over the service and staff Many of the customers are now migrating to SharePoint online
Migration Strategy and Status Purchased tool to migrate sites: ShareGate Migrated: CUPD, CNS, My Sites In progress: Workday and UFSC Also useful to migrate other SharePoint farms to cloud, e.g. Reunion, Vet School
