THE SUN!

The Sun’s Awesome Power: Magnifying Glass and Fire

Sun is the closest star to Earth Gives off intense heat and light The eye acts like the magnifying glass focusing the light making it intense enough to cause permanent damage. It only takes 3 seconds to damage the eye. There are no pain receptors in the retina of the eye, so there is no pain to warn us of the damage.
