Lab Notebook Tips Write in ink. Cross off any mistakes with one neat line. Number each page. Reserve about five pages per lab. Be neat. Even if you’re not a neat person or have messy handwriting, be neat. I’m serial. Don’t be conservative when it comes to space. I promise you’re not going to fill up the notebook.
