Simple Sentence: Compound Sentence: Complex Sentence: The misfit shot the grandmother three times. Compound Sentence: The misfit was not concerned with pleasing jesus, and he was not swayed by the grandmother’s words. Complex Sentence: After he gave it some thought, the misfit decided to shoot the grandmother to avoid being caught. Notice the differences in the structure of the sentences. Simple sentences = choppy writing!
