Classroom Rules and Procedures The following procedures will be used in class

Classroom Rules 1. Students are to bring all required materials and supplies to class each day. 2. Students are to be in their seats, quiet, and ready to work when the tardy bell rings. 3. Students are to follow directions the first time they are given. 4. Students are to raise their hand to be recognized before speaking. 5. Students are to remain in their seats unless given permission to get up.

Disciplinary Procedures 1st offence- Warning and documentation 2nd offence- Teacher Conferencing/ Action Plan 3rd offence- Parent Notification 4th offence- Referral to the office

Classroom Procedures

Being Prepared and Writing Utensils Bring required materials each day. Writing Utensils Students may use a pencil ONLY. Typed or computer generated work will also be accepted.

Entering and Exiting Class Entering Class Upon entering the room, students say good morning then proceed to cubbies and take only required materials to . If a jacket is worn, place it on the hook and fit backpack in space provided. Read the morning’s message and AR Reading. Exiting Class A. After returning from recess, grab a flag and wait on appropriate bell for dismissal.

Maintaining Your Notebook and Planners Keep the following in your notebook: class notes, D.O.L All work must have the proper heading and neatly done. Your Planner a. Write all assignments in your planner as soon as they are given. If you need help, please raise your hand and you’ll be assisted by your teacher.

Restroom and Water Restroom Students should use the restroom before class and during lunch time. After entering the classroom, students must gain permission from the teacher and sign bathroom register in cases of emergency. Water a. Students may take water to class. However, if this disrupts the class then this privilege will be discontinued.

Pencil Sharpening and Trash Students MUST come to class with two sharpened pencils. If these lead break during class, please exchange it with a sharpened one from the work table. Trash Trash will be thrown away when your are changing classes. Keep it at your desk until you are dismissed. Pick up all paper around your desk before leaving the room.

Walking In The Hallways As A Class Students are expected to walk on the right, facing forward and in a straight line when in the hallway. There will be NO TALKING in line. Other students are still in class. All class rules apply in the hallway.
