Hyksos – “Foreign Rulers” Ruled for 200 Years Brought Chariots and Weapons Pharaoh Ahmose (Upper Egypt) defeated them & reunited Egypt 1720 BC to 1570 BC Hyksos – “Foreign Rulers” Ruled Lower Egypt for 200 Years. They brought chariots, and bows & arrows to Egypt. In 1570 BC, the Egyptians finally rebelled and the Pharaoh Ahmose with copies of the Hyksos chariots and weapons kicked them out of Lower Egypt.

Located in Lower and Upper Nubia Traded: Gold, Ivory, Leopard Skins, and Precious Stones. 1500 BC Kingdom of Kush Egypt had a trading partner obtained when they conquered Nubia. Kush had gold and other important trading items that craftsmen and artisans would turn into jewelry.

Hatshepsut New Kingdom 18th Dynasty c. 1479 to 1458 BC Was ruling as guardian for her nephew – Tuthmoses III Took over and became Pharaoh Wore false beard and wore a mans clothes Had expedition to Land of Punt Built temple in front of Valley of the Queens In 2007 her mummy was identified in Egyptian Museum in Cairo by DNA and a tooth. The reason why we know so much about her expedition is that she had the journey carved on her temple walls.
