FATS 1
DEFINITION Fat is a component in food. Some foods, including most fruits and vegetables, have almost no fat. Other foods have plenty of fat. They include nuts, oils, butter, and meats like beef.
WAYS TO REDUCE FATS INTAKE Always eat breakfast. A good breakfast comprising whole-grain cereal with fat-free or low-fat milk, fruit and yogurt will keep your blood-sugar levels stable and sustain you until lunchtime.
WAYS TO REDUCE FATS INTAKE Drink plenty of water. Water is essential for digestion, and also helps us feel fuller longer. Sometimes we confuse thirst for hunger, so keep a bottle of water by your side and sip it frequently.
WAYS TO REDUCE FATS INTAKE Replace at least one meat dish with a vegetarian meal each week. That’s not an excuse to reach for a box of macaroni and cheese, however. Pasta with roasted vegetables shall do the trick.
WAYS TO REDUCE FATS INTAKE Cook with vegetable oils or use other methods of preparing food such as braising, grilling, baking, steaming, or slow-cooking instead of frying.
WAYS TO REDUCE FATS INTAKE Eat more fish such as tuna. At least twice a week use fish as main ingredient for lunch or dinner. The best way to cook fish is baking or broiling with a little lemon juice.
WAYS TO REDUCE FATS INTAKE Get moving. It’s one thing to watch our intake of fat and calories, but to complete the transition to a healthier low fat lifestyle, we need to do some regular exercise. Find a friend to take a 30 minute brisk walk with you, a buddy tends to keep you motivated.
Above it all, remember to be CONFIDENT of yourself and do not pretend to be someone you’re not ! We are all unique in our own ways.
