Use of burette Rinse burette with the standard solution to be used. Fill burette. Ensure no air present below tap or in burette. Remove funnel before use. Take initial reading to 0.05 cm3 accuracy. Use bottom of meniscus. No need to start at 0.00 cm3. Do a rough titration, 1.0 cm3 at a time, mixing after each addition. For accurate subsequent titrations, rapidly add solution from the burette until the 1 cm3 before end point. Then add solution 1 drop at a time. Repeat titrations until 2 accurate titration values are within 0.1 cm3 of each other.
