Draw your two design ideas here in pencil – they do not need to be in colour but they do need to be annotated - they are worth 6 marks each. Design A Design B You will need to practise drawing your designs with full annotation – to help you draw them without thinking in the exam this summer. Remember ~ A time guide is one mark = one minute.

Final Design Choose ONE of your design ideas for development. Is it Design A or B ? Use sketches, labelling and notes to present a final design in colour for your textile product. Use this page and the next page to show your textile product in a presentation drawing. Marks will be given for the following – Use of the Marine Life theme = 2marks Use of range of fabrics & components = 3 marks Creativity & quality of the design = 4 marks Effective use of colour in the design = 2 marks Presentation of the final idea = 2 marks Total marks = 13 marks

Processes. Name of technique = Using Notes and diagrams explain how to complete one of the processes in your design. Remember to list all the equipment and resources that you would need to use. Applique is a good decorative technique to explain. Make sure you specify techniques in your design that you are confident to explain. Drawings are a good way to help lay out the process – don’t forget that you also need the notes.
