5.2 Strategic Partnership Development IUPC Debate Item 5.2 Strategic Partnership Development

Themes for Debate How would you go about identifying a strategic partner? How would you measure outputs and impact from partnerships in your Faculty? What ideas do you have for innovative models of partnership development? And, what are your thoughts on the working definition of a Learning and Development partnership model (below)? ‘Learning & Development is a partnership model which allows the University to explore innovative types of partnership arrangements that could lead to the development of a strategic partnership. Partnerships under this model could be formed with a range of organisations, including but not restricted to: HEIs, government agencies, research institutes, businesses and industry, contributing to building a strong network of international partners that are networked with business/government/community organisations in key market locations around the UK and the globe.’

Models for Global Partnerships Student Exchange Expand the portfolio including more in North America Recruitment Up to 20 partners 10 students per partner per year Strategic? Learning & Development Education Summer Schools, etc. Practice CPD, etc. Research Target research funds Generate joint research outputs
