Personnel Currently (1) Police Officer position is open – (1) frozen position. We are struggling with recruiting applicants that meet our standards. We look to address the recruitment issue during budget session.

Uniform Crime Reporting Annual Crime Data In the FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program, violent crime is composed of four offenses: Murder and Non-Negligent Homicide, Forcible Rape, Robbery, and Aggravated Assault. Activities / Programs Coffee with a COP We held 5 Coffee with a COP meetings. Santa COPS This was second year of program and we sponsored 56 children, who received gifts and clothing essentials. Initiated a Community Outreach program in the Senior Care Facility
Activities / Programs Drug Take-Back Program – This program was initiated in June ’16 – over 140 pounds of medications surrendered to date. Upgraded Radio System – $67K grant Upgraded Dispatch Console - $76k grant Developed ammunition reload program through donation of equipment DPS TCIC / NCIC Audit – Superior (5 years since last) -suggested our personnel become assoc. trainers 2016 TCOLE Audit – Superior (8 yrs since last) – Self audit 2017 CJIS Audit – Network failure. Network issue addressed during Jan council meeting. Grant Audit – Successfully passed. Received 3rd Recognition Achievement – Texas Police Chief’s Association 13th agency in state to achieve such designation. Currently 2,664 police agencies in Texas.
