Introduction: The ShareCenter Shadow (DNS-325), a 2-Bay Network Storage, is D- Links next generation high-end 2-bay Consumer NAS solution with high performance, rich software features with affordable price. This ShareCenter Shadow, with its internal SATA drives, enables users to share documents, files and digital media such as music, video and photos with everyone on their home or office network. Files are protected by the built-in RAID 1 mirroring technology from drive failure. Acted as a Media Server to stream photos, music, and videos to DLNA compatible network media players. This feature is highly convenient as it allows you to turn off a computer that would normally be needed for the same function. Users and groups can be created and assigned to folders with either read or read/write permissions. Quotas can be set per user or group to restrict space usage. Remote file access is easy through the built-in web file service, or through the FTP. Streaming audio over the internet is also available through the built-in web file service. The built-in P2P download engine allows users to download torrent without turning on the PC. The supported add-on interface which extends the ShareCenter Shadow rich software applications like Photo Station, eMule download, Remote Backup, and various media servers.
