THE SUN By Jack Hurrell, Corey Giddings of 7J
PHOTOS OF THE SUN We took these photos of the sun using the school’s new 12” Meade telescope given to us by Melbourne University.
Observations Our observations was that the sun was in a light grey colour with a couple of black spots which we believe that are sunspots (where the sun is cooler).
YOHKOH YOHKOH was to observe the energetic phenomena taking place on the Sun, specifically solar flares in x-ray and gamma-ray emissions.
SOHO Satellite SOHO satellite is a international project where the ESA and NASA are working together. SOHO satellite was built to study the Sun from its deep core to the outer corona and the solar wind.
