Strategic Enrollment Management Matrix (Dolence, 2014) The “Strategic Enrollment Management Matrix” is a powerful tool in the Academic Strategic Enrollment Management toolbox. The Strategic Enrollment Management method derives its origin from the Cross-Impact Analysis approach developed by Gordon and Helmer (1966). The Strategic Enrollment Management Matrix provides a comprehensive framework process intended to develop and evaluate strategies, capacities, and systemic operational initiatives (Dolence, 2014).
AACC Systemic Enrollment Management Matrix (SEM²) The AACC Systemic Enrollment Management Matrix is a structure that guides the enrollment management planning process toward developing strategies, tactics, goals, and objectives designed to impact access, transfer, and completion college-wide.
The SEM² nine learning points The Matrix is a systemic research- based transformative change model The Matrix is a collaborative process that infuses stakeholder voice (perspectives, values, experiences, and insights) across all consistency groups The Matrix is governed by seven strategic enrollment management dimensions (strategy, academic, recruitment, retention, operations, policy, and analytics) The Matrix model illustrates components of a common vision, colleague relations, and inclusive discourse
The SEM² nine learning points The Matrix is anchored by seven learner centered questions designed to create a consistent college-wide enrollment focus The Matrix is an organic model that encompasses various diverse institutional initiatives, programs, committees, and groups under one enrollment management structure The Matrix emphasizes a learner- centered philosophy The Matrix configuration has a “Think Tank” element to guide critical discussion regarding enrollment activities The Matrix structure has a college- wide governing Board that is designed to manage essential systemic management matrix policies, procedures, practices, and protocols
