De fire masterprogrammene undervises på engelsk. I år har vi også for første gang opptak til master i elkraftteknikk. Vi har både forkurs og realfagskurs (tresemesterordning). Og til dere som går på forkurs; vi har eksempler på studenter som startet på forkurs og endte opp med en doktorgrad. Noen tar også en bachelorgrad, jobber noen år og kommer tilbake for å ta mastergrad. Det er blitt enklere nå, siden vi har tee av de fire masterprogrammene som deltids nettstudier.

Industrial IT and Automation: Master programme Campus programme (2006); 2 years, full time; Internationalization in 3rd or 4th semester, Master project as group project; Master thesis as individual project. IIA Industry master Mandatory gatherings on campus: Programme start-up, 2 days 1 day at end of first semester, 3 days in second semester, 4 days in third semester, 2 days in fourth semester, (Project: 1 day in fifth semester), (Thesis: 1 day in last semester). Final tests, one day for each course.
Learning activities: All courses are taught in English, Teaching videos; self-produced thematic videos, videos of lectures on campus or external videos, Preferably asynchronous teaching activities; teacher and student need not be online at the same time, except for online guidance, Assignments, exercises and projects; individually or in collaboration with others, Most teaching resources are available for both online and campus students; Teaching plan, exercises, solutions and supplementary literature; available in the online education system (Canvas).
Projects and Thesis Master projects in 5th semester, group based, 10 credits (1/3 of the semester), Task description in middle of August, deliver at end of November, Use the knowledge from some of the courses, Work in a project, preferably as a project manager or sub project manager, Grading based on report, process and examination. Master Thesis in 6th semester, one student, 30 credits (whole semester), Task description in middle of November, deliver in middle of May, Use the knowledge from most of the courses, Contents (normally): Literature survey, Develop a model, use model for simulation/verification/optimization, develop prototype, Literature survey, System development; analysis, design, implementation and testing, Grading based on report only.
