EHIS Eagle Post Eagle Strut/Carnival September 2018 http://hickmank12.org/east-hickman-intermediate-school/ Eagle Strut/Carnival Congrats to our Staff and Students of the Month Mrs. Rhonda Deal- General Education Assistant “an all around team player” Character trait of the month: RESPECT 3rd grade: Lexi Brackman 4th grade: Logan Hooberry 5th grade: Carlee Groves Stop by the front lobby to learn more about them! EHIS is a Level 5 School On September 28th and 29th, EHIS will host its annual Eagle Strut and Carnival. This is our only big fundraiser for the year and 100% of all the money raised stays at our school! Our goal is to raise $25,000. With the money raised in past years, our school has purchased new technology, supplemental classroom materials, as well as rewards and prizes to recognize students who exhibit positive behavior. On Friday, September 28th, each grade level will have a walking time for the “strut.” 3rd grade: 9:00 - 9:30 4th grade: 9:45-10:15 5th grade: 10:30 - 11:00 We encourage parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors to come cheer and/or walk alongside our students this day. On Saturday, September 29th, EHIS will host a carnival from 10:00 - 3:00 with games, silent auction items, activities, and food for the students, family, and community. We know this will be a fun day that everyone will enjoy! Remember if we meet our goal of $25,000 the students will get to slime or throw water balloons at Mrs. Hanes and Mr. Simmons. Congrats to the students and faculty here at EHIS on being named a Level 5 School!! This means that no matter where our students began the year academically, they learned and grew at the highest rate possible! It is the highest possible score a school can receive! Last year was all about “finding your inner superhero” and “showing your superpower,” and our students and faculty definitely showed how SUPER they are! The Game of Life: Where will your choices take you? Which path do you choose? We live our choices! To begin our year we are focusing on the power of our choices. The teachers have decorated their doors with life path choices: Military, Career, or College. Each student will explore their life path and what they need to do now to plan for that path. It’s never too early to begin to prepare for the future! Follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ehiseagles/
