The team manager is also responsible for making sure team documents are in order and correct. Team roster - Prepared and signed by the club registrar Player ID cards - A properly prepared Player ID card with a current photo of the player, signed by the player, registrar and laminated. Adult Participation/KidSafe cards - A properly prepared Adult ID card with a current photo of the player, signed by the player, registrar and laminated. While all these duties are important it is very important to pay particularly close attention to the game card. If a player is not at the game or is not playing, draw a line through the name on the card. This is important since playing an ineligible player results in the game being forfeited. If you wish to protest a game it must be written on the game card to be a valid protest. The CAYSA rule (4.2.9 Protest is related to a specific game and is filed by one of the involved team officials. Only those teams involved are permitted to protest a game result. Protests of a specific game cannot be filed by third parties such as coaches of other teams or league / state administrator(s). Penalty Points 101 for Players Yellow Cards - (caution) = 3 pts Red Cards - (send-offs) = 9 pts Yellow/Yellow - (same game) = 9 pts With a red card, the player that's shown the red card must immediately leave the field. He/She may not be replaced by another player, your team will play short that one player. Same applies to any subsequent red cards shown. (You get 3 reds and you're now a party of 8, if you started with 11) When a player receives a yellow card, that is a warning, caution, however you want to word it. That means that the referee has seen enough and the next time you do it, he will go back to his pocket and pull out his red one. Yellow plus yellow equals a red card, and the player must leave the field and cannot be replaced. If you have a player that's already gotten 2 yellow cards accumulated in previous games and he is shown a yellow card (first of the game), he may finish up that game, as long as he does not get a second yellow card in the game, but must sit out his next game because he hit the 9 point mark. When a player gets a red card, or a yellow/yellow=red, that player must come off the field and then must also sit out the very next game that team plays. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT – on the game card that your player is sitting out, HIS NAME MUST NOT APPEAR ON THE GAME CARD. If his name is preprinted on there, you must draw a line through his name to show that he did not play in that game and write out Sitting Out Red Card. Remember: If a players name appears on the game card, he is considered to have played. Every season, games have been forfeited because someone does not know this or is not paying attention – it is the managers job to know this and execute this, or you will put the team of kids that just played the game of their lives, in jeopardy of a forfeit. Penalty Point sits out as follows: 9 points – sit out next 1 game 18 points – sit out next 2 games 24 points – sit out next 3 games 30 points – sit out next 4 games Please Note: Suspensions cannot be served in forfeited, friendly or invitational tournament matches. The same applies on all games sat out. Make sure that the name does not appear on the game card unless stricken through. Players that attend games may do so, but may not dress out in uniform, must attend in street clothes.

Ejected Coach, Assistant Coach or Trainer – If a coach, assistant coach or trainer reaches eighteen (18) penalty points during a match in which he / she is ejected or asked to leave a game by the referee, then suspension: for the remainder of that day; and for the next two (2) regularly scheduled game days; and for the next two (2) games actually played by the team which played the game from which he / she was ejected. Ejected Coach, Assistant Coach or Trainer – If a coach, assistant coach or trainer reaches twenty-four (24) penalty points during a match in which he / she is ejected or asked to leave a game by the referee, then suspension: for the remainder of that day; and for the next three (3) regularly scheduled game days; and for the next three (3) games actually played by the team which played the game from which he / she was ejected. Ejected Coach, Assistant Coach or Trainer – If a coach, assistant coach or trainer reaches thirty (30) penalty points during a match in which he / she is ejected or asked to leave a game by the referee, then suspension: for the remainder of that day; and for the next four (4) regularly scheduled game days; and for the next four (4) games actually played by the team which played the game from which he / she was ejected. Suspension(s) cannot be served in forfeited, friendly or invitational tournament matches. For the purposes of these rules only, regularly scheduled means the game days routinely scheduled by a competitions scheduler. Regularly scheduled does not mean make-up games scheduled on a day when the competition as a whole is not scheduled to play.
