13th Workshop on Labour Force Survey Methodology System functionality Preparation for the survey consists of: Preparation of the administrative data and metadata; Sampling (3 methods); Updating the e-questionnaire (the first time e- questionnaires were prepared by outside company); Informing respondents about being selected for participation in the survey. 17–18 May 2018 13th Workshop on Labour Force Survey Methodology

System functionality (cont.) Advantages of web interviewing Extensive use of administrative data; Less burden for respondents and interviewers; Flexibility of filling-in process; Ability to pause and resume the filling-in process; Online help is available; Information boxes for certain questions; Additional logical controls during the filling-in. 17–18 May 2018 13th Workshop on Labour Force Survey Methodology

Disadvantages of web interviewing Compatibility with browsers; Dependence on internet connection; Patience is needed for filling-in (for large households). 17–18 May 2018 13th Workshop on Labour Force Survey Methodology
