Chapter Accomplishments The Winners Circle Chapter completed its first full year. A total of eleven meetings held (one at ISSC in San Diego). Most meetings were Executive Committee meetings. Two general meetings held in 2005 – 2006. All meeting minutes were sent out via e-mail. Three Chapter Newsletters generated and distributed via email. One new member was recruited beyond the initial 14 during 2005 – 2006; however, one member has since dropped out.

Chapter Publications The chapter’s president serves as Technical Editor of the Journal of System Safety. Ann Waterman, elected as the Society’s Director of Publicity and Media for 2005 – 2009, also serves on the Chapter’s Executive Board. A total of 12 articles were submitted and published in JSS/eJSS during 2005 – 2006.

Chapter Awards President’s Award to Brian Scannell for “Extraordinary Service and Dedication to the Winners Circle Chapter in Such a Short Period of Time!” Professional Achievement Award to David Heimerdinger for “Bringing a New, Major Caliber Naval Gun System to Deployment after Completing a Vigorous, Long-term System Safety Program.”

Issues Determining who is in our chapter has been difficult. Tried to find out which SSS members actually live in Kentucky and Indiana since August 2005. Members who list only their employment address do not always show up as potential chapter members in the area where they live. Suggest that both business and residence addresses be part of the registration and membership applications.
