Overall Description: The ETSI TC ITS requests liaison with the IEEE 802.11 (Task Group p) and IEEE P1609. The objective of the liaison is to share information and promote cooperation towards the development of ITS related standards and specifications. 2. Actions: To IEEE802.11 and IEEE P1609 By this letter, ETSI TC ITS requests liaison with IEEE 802.11 and IEEE P1609 working groups. Specifically, ETSI TC ITS seeks to officially establish a link with the IEEE 802.11 and IEEE P1609 working groups and to share information towards the development of ITS-related standards. The ETSI TC ITS agrees to provide the IEEE 802.11 and IEEE P1609 working groups with regular status updates and to share working documents in collaboration. The IEEE 802.11 and IEEE P1609 working groups are requested to reciprocate. The dissemination by one party of the documents received from the other party shall be strictly limited to the members of IEEE 802.11 and IEEE P1609 working group members and members of ETSI TC ITS, and solely for the purpose of technical activities relating to the party's work programme. The IEEE 802.11 working group is requested to respond to this request at its earliest convenience. 3.
