All Seniors must complete two components: the Resume and the Job Application. The Resume task has two options: OPTION 1: Create resume in Naviance OPTION 2: Upload your own document into Naviance The completed Job Application will be uploaded to Naviance in the “Journal” tab. Advisory teachers will check completion by the assigned due date of October 31, 2018. Career Plan credit (0.25) is required for graduation. The Basics

RESUME TASK

You have two options for creating your resume: OPTION 1 –Create it directly in Naviance OPTION 2—Create it in Word (or another file format) and upload it to the Journal Tab in Naviance

Option 1 – creating in Naviance Log Log into Naviance: Go Go to CBW Homepage Select Select “Students” Click On Students page, click “Naviance: High School” on left Then, click “CB West Login” Option 1 – creating in Naviance

Username: CB ID#, unless you changed it to email Login for Class of 2019: Username: CB ID#, unless you changed it to email Password: 6-digit birthday, unless you changed it Please use “Forgot My Password” feature to reset

To Access Resume Function: Click on “About Me” tab, then “My Stuff” menu, then “Resume”

From the drop down, you MUST complete entries for: OBJECTIVE, EDUCATION, and REFERENCES

Using OBJECTIVE as an example, enter the requested information in the box

After you enter the information in the box, you will be able to see your entry on your resume.

In addition to the 3 required categories, you must complete two additional entries from the menu.

Your resume will begin to take shape…

After you’ve completed the entries, you can save your resume through Print/Export Resume tab.

Download Your Resume, and Save

Job Application Task

1. Download job application template. From CBW Home page, click on “Career Plan” under School Links Click on “Career Plan 12 Job Application Word Document Format” Fill out, and SAVE AS your own Word Document. Upload on “Journal Tab” in Naviance 1. Download job application template.

From CB West Homepage, scroll down to School Links and click “Career Plan”

Select the Career Plan 12 Job Application template

Job application: Complete application, and save to your computer as Word Document Suggested Document Name: Smith.John Job Application Add to Journal tab in Naviance
