Caltrans, District 11 SUMMARY OF PROJECT Rehabilitate external surface concrete & power wash bridge Make it STRONGER 1.Retrofit the columns with more concrete and tensioned cables 2.Tie it horizontally with post tensioning and steel pins - to restrain the mid-span joints 3.Deck: Replace existing pavement, improve deck drainage Abutments: Rehabilitate all concrete, improve access for inspectors Install accent lighting
