Presentation transcript:

What do you see when you go outdoors? Nature Walk What do you see when you go outdoors?

Where do you go to enjoy nature?

Do you play at the beach?

Do you hike in the mountains?

Have you seen the Big Dipper …

or meteor showers at night?

Have you ever gone camping …

and camped in a tent by a lake …

or stayed in an old cabin?

Some people even camp in winter!

Sometimes a class goes camping together …

or they pretend to use binoculars.

Have you ever seen a moose?

Can you imagine seeing this face in your bathroom …

or finding a moose in a pool?

You might see a grizzly if you visit Yellowstone National Park.

This bison also lives at Yellowstone National Park.

Park rangers keep the national parks safe.

They might lead hikes.

They might lead educational programs …

whether you visit Yellowstone or the Everglades.

You’ve probably seen tree squirrels.

Have you ever seen a ground squirrel in a burrow or on the ground?

A groundhog is also a member of the squirrel family.

You can see chipmunks in the woods.

Have you ever seen a wood duck in a pond?

Racoons live near ponds, too.

If you’re lucky, you might even see sunfish in a pond.

A beaver might build a lodge in a pond or a creek.

Wouldn’t it be fun to see a terrapin?

Would you like to see a garter snake …

or a great blue heron …

or some otters?

Would you rather see a frog or a bear at the pond?

Or maybe you’d rather pick berries.

Take a walk and enjoy nature!
