Ambivalence (n) Indecision, uncertainty The coexistence of opposing attitudes or feelings toward a person, an object, or an idea. I think Carla has some ambivalence about getting married.

Bemused (adj) Preoccupied, confused, absorbed Lost in thought, bewildered about something I was completely bemused by his questions. a bemused frown

Blighted(adj) Spoiled, impaired, ruined, doomed Something damaged, ruined, or devalued in some way Our town is blighted by unemployment.

Ephemeral (adj) Short-lived, transient, temporary Something transient or passing the ephemeral joys of childhood. ephemeral popularity

Incomprehensible (adj.) perplexing, puzzling Something not able to be understood He left the house at three in the morning for incomprehensible reasons.
