Starting the arrangement Spring 2008 - Three grandparents and a coordinator of volunteer work starts advertising for members Autumn 2008 - The board is established A coordinator is appointed Funds are applied for January 2009 - The arrangement starts with 5 grandparents and 13 families and the first children are taken care of. October 2009 - 5 grandparents and apx 25 families Goal - 20 grandparents and 100 families
Arranging childcare The parents call the coordinator sunday – Thursday at 17.30 – 18 00 to book a grandparent The coordinator arranges for a grandparent and calls the parents to confirm The grandparent takes care of the sick child the next day The parents pay the grandparent 45 kr. (6,5 €) to start 30 kr. (4.25 €) per hour The income is made taxfree by law for the grandparent
