Triple Strip Drill BC Start Line Explanation: 3 on 1 Tackle with TO! Drill: Triple Strip Drill Technique: Tacklers start drill. 3rd comes next. 1st tackler secures tackle. 2nd pull elbow up and out. 3rd strips and recovers the ball. End: Move in groups of 3. Sideline Fumble D Explanation: Keeping the ball in bounce for a teammate with a fumble. Drill: Sideline Fumble Technique: Keep ball in bounds. Use outside arm to strike and swipe the ball in bounds. It yours, ours or no bodies. 2nd player must settle body and secure ball. Don’t let momentum overcome you. Note: Return ball to coach on the outside back. Then head to the back of the line. Grill Spill D D 2 1 Explanation: 2nd player working the fumble. Drill: TO Tuesday Football rest’s on top of the wobble. 1st Player knocks wobble over and ball off. 2nd player recovers the football. Ball can come off anywhere. Point of Emphases: Is it a city fumble or a country fumble? End: Rotate 1st player to 2nd player. Note: Balls returned to coach and set on top. D Wobble Coach #9

Ride & Strip Drill D D D D O O Explanation: Forcing TO from trail position Drill: Ride & Strip Drill On whistle offense starts at 50% speed. Defense will follow and secure tackle with arm and spread the chest. 2nd arm will force fumble. Rip, Pull & Chop! Pull arm past elbow! 2nd man will recovery fumble. (City of Country) Defender must yell FUMBLE!!! Point of Emphases: Spread the chest w/the opposite arm. End: Rotate in groups of two in each line. Front Punch Drill O O O D D D Explanation: Forcing TO from front position Drill: Front Punch Drill Break Down and run your feet! Secure tackle and punch ball out! Hard fist and punch through the meat of the ball! 3 Lines one for the force, 2 for the recovery of the chosen side of the offensive back. Point of Emphases: Hard fist and punch through the ball! Alternate Scoop & Score Drill 2 1 Explanation: Recovering a country/City Fumble in open space Drill: Alternate scoop/score drill Coach will toss ball (1) and then toss ball for 2nd line (2) Defender will wait to hand ball to coach on same side Defender will alternate lines after coaches has new ball Point of Emphases: Get low and secure ball with two hands. Catch the ball with your body Clench and close over the ball Point of Emphases: Get low and secure ball with two hands. Base wide and outside of the ball.
