Why Rising level of homelessness Impact on families and our customers Wider impact on society, and the link to social value Financial consequences

What The project aims to identify those at risk of homelessness at a much, much earlier stage. Aim to involve teams from across the Council and beyond Use iterative and pilot based approach Use customer journey, and make sure we measure the outcome

Developing a referral pathway How Cause Debt Low income Low skills Lack of qualifications Unemployment Pathway Debt management Employment or training Approach/Lever The council can support you to: Access to debt management advice Work with you to agree repayment plan Support you by placing a hold on summons cost Support you by offering you a discretionary housing payment Contract (agreement) Agree to debt management support Agree and adhere to a debt management plan Agree and adhere to a tailored HDC repayment plan Referral CAB appontment Pathway Summons Pathway DHP Pathway Repayment Plan Pathway Incentive Free One Leisure activites Free children's activities whilst attending appointment Evaluation No of people approached No of people who agree to participate No of people attending appointments. Customer Story Journal Developing a referral pathway

Lessons learnt….so far Use evidence, not assumptions Listen to staff, not managers Engage with staff, they ‘get it’ Build case studies, we need to know our customers Partners will engage, get them involved Start small, use pilots to make your point Be ready for the unexpected, things will turn up

Questions….and any ideas that can help us?
