PARCC Test Preparation Resources for Students

Go to http://parcc.pearson.com/ This is the hub for many useful resources.

Choose Test Preparation from the top menu or page menu to get the dropdown menu, including Sample Items, Tutorials, & Practice Tests.

The following tutorials are available. TestNav 8 Tutorial Provides basics about the testing platform Equation Editor Guides PDFs by grade band Equation Editor Tutorials Guided Practice by grade band Online Student Tutorials - High School ELA - High School Math Text to Speech Tutorial This is only for those students with this accommodation. TI Graphing Calculator Software Download for 90 Day Free Use of Software

Key Point about Test Nav 8 DO NOT attempt to “esc,” open another program or leave the testing program while in session. This will kick you out of the test. Not all tools will be available for each section “Review” is a good tool for moving back and forth in each section/Unit of the test. You can “flag” a question and come back to it later and see which questions you haven’t answered Students may review previous questions, until the student selects “continue” at the end of the unit. This will end that section of the test. Only “submit my final answers” when all sections/units are complete (last day of testing)! Multiple Choice questions are denoted by a circle next to the answer choices. Multiple Item select is denoted by a square next to the answer choices.
