let’s compare introduction conclusion Imagine this: a man gets into a car, puts on a blindfold, starts the engine, puts his foot on the gas, and takes his hands off the wheel. Unless this man is a stunt driver, this is not typical driving behavior; however, something just as dangerous happens every day. Every time a motorist carries on a cellular phone conversation, that person is endangering not only his or her own life but also the lives of everyone else walking, bicycling, or driving nearby. Some believe cell phone use in cars is important, especially in the case of emergencies, while others feel they are too distracting and not worth the risk of using. Using cell phones while driving must be banned now because they delay a driver’s reaction time, create safety risks for passengers and other road users, and increase the likelihood of car accidents, which result in higher insurance rates. Indeed, all states should now make it illegal to drive while using a hand-held cell phone. Using a cell phone while driving impairs a driver’s response time. As a result, this creates safety risks for drivers, passengers, and other road users, which will likely increase the rate of car accidents. People who continue to regularly answer calls or texts while driving need to consider the consequences. What is more important? The text message or a life? Surely, the text message can wait.

1. Repeat: Indeed, cell phones should not be permitted in classrooms.

Summary: When students are granted permission to bring these devices to class, it is as if Pandora’s box has been opened: students risk losing focus and integrity. Furthermore, those students without access to expensive, updated devices feel left out if teachers require students to use them as a part of class instruction. Consequently, this creates an environment that is not conducive to learning.

Provide a call to action: Demand that your reader take some action in support of your position Example: Now that we understand how important it is for students to have the right to dress themselves, it is our civic duty to attend their local school counsel meeting and demand that this proposal be rejected.

Instead, teachers should assign homework on an individual basis. This solution would provide students with needed practice without needless busywork for students and endless grading for teachers. When students work on just their own weaknesses, rather than work assigned to the whole class, they will quickly see improvement and will be more motivated to stay in school.

Make a prediction: Provide a warning if your position is not accepted, or provide an encouragement if it is Warning example: If students are required to wear uniforms, the environment of our school will become drab and colorless, and the structure of our hallowed institution will be further from a college and closer to a prison. Encouragement example: If students aren’t forced to wear uniforms, our school will have a much more pleasant and productive environment in which everyone will learn and grow.

“DROP THE MIC” Strong impression When students are given permission to utilize their cell phones, their academic success is at risk, particularly for those who lack discipline and self-control. Is it worth it? There are enough distractions at school. Cell phones only add to the list. Generations before survived without them; so can this generation.
