Natural gas condensate Natural gas condensate (or simply condensate) is similar to petrol. Natural gas condensate is a by-product of the gas extraction and gas production processes and contains (among other things) benzene, a mixture of hydrocarbons which can accumulate in the gas transmission system. Natural gas condensate is both flammable and explosive. It is also harmful to health and the environment. And that means you must observe maximum care and alertness. What are the properties of natural gas condensate? Personal protection equipment Always use the prescribed personal protection equipment (PPE). Use them as instructed and keep them well maintained. The PPE package consists of: standard work clothing with acid protection apron chemical-resistant gloves chemical-resistant safety boots helmet full-face safety goggles reflective safety vest (if you are working on the public highway) during pigging: oxygen masks

What to do in the event of a leak Wear a chemicals suit Wear an oxygen mask or filter mask Ensure extra ventilation Contain any overflowed or leaked product and absorb any residue using an inert absorption material Have any ground contaminated by the product cleaned by a contractor with environmental clean-up expertise Notify the CCP immediately (tel. 050-5211500) Notify the responsible manager immediately
