BEFORE THE CRISIS Clarify roles Agree on guiding principles Establish a working structure Establish working procedures Document the crisis plan Train the board and the administrative team

DURING THE CRISIS Comply with mandatory reporting laws Activate the response team Notify the board Assure safety of students and others Prepare a strategy and plan Assign responsibilities Set up communications

AFTER THE CRISIS Communicate as appropriate with the community Conduct an after – event review Adjust policies and procedures accordingly Begin preparation and training again
