Ms. Reed’s Health Class Routines “If you don’t take care of your body, where will you live?” Kobi Yamada

Whole Class Discussion Let’s talk about it! At the start of a new concept, we will discuss the main ideas of the readings and articles. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and add comments about what you have read.

Pair and Share Warm-Up Quiz-Quiz-Trade After completing your warm-up each day, you will turn to the person to the left or right of you to share and compare your ideas on the questions at hand. We will then share out to the class. Quiz-Quiz-Trade Create a question to ask other classmates. Write it down on an index card. Write the answer on the back. When the music starts, walk around the room, when the music stops, pair up with the closest person to you. Ask your partner the question. Guide your partner if necessary. The other partner then asks their question. Switch questions with that partner. When the music stops, ask your new partner your new question.

Posters, Skits, Role Play, and other Projects Random Grouping Pick a Stick! Take turns choosing one stick out of the class cup until the group is formed. Take a Number! Group up with those classmates with the same numbered card. Spot your Dot! Group together with those who have the same colored dot on their folder.

Review Games & Stations If we are reviewing or doing station work, there will be group numbers labeled around the classroom. Please look for your name and group number on the overhead and move to that location!

Computer Lab Time On your own, but I’m here to help! While in the computer lab we will be working on several different projects independently. I will walk around to assist in any way possible. If you have questions raise your hand and I will be by to answer.
